Rating:

Sophie is not your typical high school senior. Sure, there's the troubled relationship with her mother who refuses to tell Sophie anything about her father, there's the awkwardness of being an outcast in school and there's the dream of rising above the doldrums of high school and moving on to college. But Sophie, an aspiring writer who "breathes poems", is in her third trimester of pregnancy. Sophie has decided not to reveal the identity of the father though most suspect that it is Josh, Sophie's one friend. But this is not truly a book about teen pregnancy, it's a pleasant mix of suspense, mystery, and mysticism complete with threatening notes, burgeoning friendships, portenous dreams and a mother's love.
