It's the summer after their freshman year of college and once again Lena, Carmen, Bridget, and Tibby will be apart. But this summer is different because the girls have been away for the whole school year and have been using the Traveling Pants year-round to stay connected. Lena is taking an art class for the summer, Carmen is trying out for a theater festival, Bridget is going to Turkey for an archaeological dig, and Tibby is taking a script-writing class. Although their lives are taking them in different directions, not just physically but also emotionally, the Pants will always help them stay together . . . or will they?
This book provides a much more satisfying ending to the saga of the Traveling Pants than the sickly sweet ending of Girls in Pants. Each girl matures as she realizes that the choices she makes today will affect who she becomes tomorrow. This time around, the lesson learned from the Pants is about knowing when to hold on and learning how to let go.
This is a very good book. You will need to read the other three to
understand it though.
