On her first day in New York City, Jane lost her job and the apartment she had lined up, had her purse stolen, and was attacked by an ex-con after drinking in a bar. Luckily, a mysterious stranger rescued her, but now he needs help himself.
Rhys is a vampire haunted by memories of past losses. After rescuing Jane in a dark alley, he loses his memory. He thinks he is still a viscount living in 19th century London, and has forgotten that he is a vampire.
The passion between Jane and Rhys flares, but can their relationship last? Will he still want her when he regains his memory and will she want him when she discovers he is a vampire?
This vampire romance is funny and amusing. A vampire with amnesia is a nice spin on the genre but the passion between Jane and Rhys is a bit too quick to develop. Jane is too busy worrying about Rhys regaining his memory to notice his strange habits. The threat against them is too easily thwarted. Despite a few flaws, this novel is an enjoyable read. Three and a half stars.
